Mechanism of UV IV
Here at Nūūtro, we exclusively offer a form of ultraviolet (UV) blood therapy, which goes hand-in-hand with your intravenous drip, EBO2 or ozone session. Ultraviolet blood treatment is a next-generation modality which uses ultraviolet (UV) irradiation to detoxify the blood. Ultraviolet blood irradiation is based on the research of Niels Ryberg Finsen, a Nobel prize winner in the Physiology of Medicine.
During this treatment, your blood is drawn, transported through an ultraviolet light-emitting machine, and reintroduced back into your system. Using UV is healing with the lightest touch. Ultraviolet blood irradiation is widely accepted in the USA and has been documented positively in the American Journal of Surgery.
Clean your blood
How Ultraviolet Works
Now, you may wonder how ultraviolet works to clean your blood.
First, ultraviolet blood irradiation is an effective immune-modulation therapy that works to normalise blood parameters. Secondly, pathogenic microorganisms such as viruses, fungi, mould and yeast cannot acquire resistance to ultraviolet irradiation, which is a huge plus in today’s antibiotic-resistant world.
Multiple antibiotic-resistant strains are as susceptible to ultraviolet as their non-resistant counterparts.
How does ultraviolet light kill the microorganisms within your blood? By damaging their DNA.
Pathogenic microorganisms DO NOT have the correct DNA repair enzymes to ‘deal’ with ultraviolet irradiation, so the ultraviolet light irreversibly damages their DNA. Whereas your cells possess DNA repair enzymes, the ultraviolet light does not permanently damage your cells, and your cells rapidly repair during and post-treatment. Furthermore, ultraviolet blood irradiation has a synergistic acceleration effect on the body’s defence mechanisms:
- Ultraviolet blood irradiation enhances the phagocytic capacity of neutrophils and dendritic cells. Meaning more neutrophils (white blood cells) are available in the blood to ‘eat’ and ‘destroy’ pathogens.
Ultraviolet blood irradiation stimulates the immune system to become a better defender against disease. Did you know UV is often used to sterilise water, disinfect surfaces and clean surgical equipment? You can compare ultraviolet blood irradiation to the sun’s healing rays. It has been known throughout history that the sun can kill bacteria, heal infections and energise the body. Thus, using concentrated UV is a doubled-up version of our glorious sun.
The fundamental mechanism to understand is that UV light damages the protein structure of bacteria. Ultraviolet blood irradiation is like utilising the healing power of the sun’s rays by directly putting light into your bloodstream. Additionally, unhealthy cells absorb five times as much photonic irradiation energy from the UV. What does this mean?
- As unhealthy cells do not have AS effective DNA repair enzymes, the sick cells cannot cope with the irradiation and die off.
At the same time, the healthy cells remain intact, and the blood gains oxygen. Ultraviolet radiation is exceptionally safe and has low-risk, high-reward benefits. Ultraviolet radiation is systemic, holistic, healing and regenerative. Furthermore, ultraviolet radiation is moderately invasive and has few counteractive complications compared to surgery and long-term use of pharmaceutical drugs. Within the world of osteopathic medicine, ultraviolet blood irradiation is known as BioPhotonic Therapy, and doctors call it “The Cure That Time Forgot”. Ultraviolet blood irradiation combats any immune challenge; whether it’s an infection or cancer, your body will get a boost to get back into the fight.
Key Case Study:
In fact, 312 workers exposed to radiation during the clean-up after the 1986 nuclear accident at Chernobyl used ultraviolet blood irradiation with profound results.
On top of this, ultraviolet blood irradiation also creates balance in the body’s alkalinity, activates steroid hormones, accelerates the lymphatic system and positively stimulates the autonomic nervous system.
Ultraviolet blood irradiation is safe and painless. At the level of the cell, the ultraviolet irradiation acts as a filter:
- Cleaning and clearing of the weaker, damaged and faulty cells that may be contributing to disease.
- These cells are known as senescent ‘zombie’ cells which are unable to go through programmed cell death, known as autophagy.
- Senescent cells are often left in the body as debris, and spew out a cocktail of inflammatory signals which disrupts the overall function of tissues and organs.
- As these cells do not harness the correct repair mechanisms to survive the irradiation, they die off.
- The result of this is you are left with ONLY healthy cells within your body. Healthy cells are able to metabolize, function and aid tissues and organs correctly.
