What is EBV?
EBO2 for Epstein Barr Virus
Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) is a herpes virus that infects the human body. It’s most commonly found in the mouth and throat, but it can affect the lungs, liver, kidneys, and blood as well.
You can catch EBV by kissing someone with an active cold sore or sharing food or drinks with someone who has it. It usually doesn’t cause any symptoms at all, but when it does, you might notice:
- A sore throat that lasts for one to three weeks.
- A fever that lasts for a few days (up to 10 days).
- Headaches and fatigue.
- Swollen lymph nodes in your neck or armpits.
A Form of Ozone Therapy
Increase the Levels of Oxygen
If you’re pregnant and have been exposed to EBV, there’s a chance you could pass EBV on to your baby during delivery—and then he or she could develop lifelong complications like learning disabilities and swollen tonsils.
Ozone therapy can help treat Epstein Barr virus by:
- Improving overall immune system functioning and response.
- Increasing the number of lymphocytes in the blood.
- Reducing inflammation and pain throughout the body.
- Increasing oxygen levels in the body.
- Increasing circulation to tissues.
Here at Nūūtro Clinic, we provide EBO2 treatment which stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation. EBO2 is a form of ozone therapy that uses ozone to help increase the levels of oxygen and infuse ozone in the body to help combat various diseases and disorders.
Ozone therapy has been used to treat many conditions, including Epstein Barr which is beneficial as it is a natural process that uses elements found in the atmosphere to help provide a non-invasive treatment.
Ozone is made up of oxygen molecules that have been split apart into single atoms. When this happens, the oxygen atoms lose an electron and become unstable. These free radicals are naturally attracted to other molecules, including bacteria, parasites, viruses and cancer cells. They latch on to these particles and destroy them.
The body also makes its own kind of ozone through a process called “biological oxidation.” This occurs when a molecule or cell absorbs an oxygen atom from the environment and becomes unstable (similar to how ozone is formed). The unstable molecule then reacts with another molecule to release energy and form water. This process is what happens when you breathe deeply into your lungs—you take in oxygen molecules from outside your body, which become unstable once they enter your lungs’ tissue cells; then they react with other molecules inside those cells (like carbon dioxide) to release energy as water vapour (or CO2).
EBO2 therapy isn’t just about breathing but is about restoring and rejuvenating bodily functions to help provide treatments against diseases and viruses such as EBV.
