At Nūūtro, we have one of the first units for EBO2 therapy in Europe. EBO2 is a form of ozone therapy which has been shown to help cardiovascular function. EBO2 stands for extracorporeal blood oxygenation, which means that the blood is taken out of the body and is oxygenated further. This process allows the heart to receive more oxygen and enable recovery from heart attacks and other issues related to a lack of oxygen.
Ozone therapy helps to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attacks by cleaning up plaque from the arteries and improving blood flow. It can also help to prevent the formation of blood clots, which can cause strokes and heart attacks in some people. This increased blood flow also helps to remove waste products from the tissue of your heart, which helps to improve its overall functioning
A study conducted to review current knowledge of the effects of ozone therapy on artery diseases found that ozone therapy promotes faster recovery and enhances the healing process. Moreover, it is shown to be even more effective in preventing complications surrounding artery diseases such as the occurrence of a cardiovascular event or other surgical solutions. They concluded that oxygen-ozone therapy overall improves the quality of life of patients with an artery disease whilst also having no adverse side effects (Juchniewicz H, Lubkowska A).
A clinical study was administered to investigate the efficacy of ozone in patients with Coronary artery disease (CAD). A randomized controlled clinical trial was performed with 53 patients which found that ozone therapy helped to correct chronic oxidative stress ultimately improving the uncertain prognosis of CAD patients. In addition to this, no side effects were observed which shows that medical ozone treatment is a viable and complementary therapy in the treatment of CAD.
