Feel Better Faster

EBO2 for COVID-19/SARS/Long COVID

Covid is a virus that affects your body’s ability to fight off illness. It’s really common and can make you feel like you have the flu. The best way to keep from getting covid is to wash your hands frequently and stay away from anyone who is sick.

The first symptoms of covid are similar to those of the common cold: sore throat and irritation in your nose and throat. But after a few days, you may experience more severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, wheezing, fever, and body aches.

It’s spread through coughing and sneezing, as well as touching surfaces that have been contaminated with the virus. Covid is airborne meaning it can be transmitted from person to person by breathing the same air as someone who already has the disease.

It can be especially dangerous for people with compromised immune systems, like those who are older or have chronic diseases.

Boost Your Immune System

Fight Off The Virus

If you do get covid, there are treatments available that can help you feel better faster. Nūūtro clinic offers one of these treatments called EBO2 therapy, which can help your body fight off the virus by boosting your immune system.

EBO2 therapy is a form of ozone treatment whereby ozone is a type of oxygen in which three atoms bond to form one molecule. It can be safely introduced into the body, where it raises blood levels of oxygen as a whole. This helps to stimulate the production of white blood cells in the blood. The increased number of white blood cells allows your body to fight off infections more effectively!

SARS

COVID-19 and SARS are both caused by coronavirus. The virus that causes SARS is known as SARS-CoV, while the virus that causes COVID-19 is known as SARS-CoV-2. There are also many types of human coronaviruses (Healthline Journal, Thottacherry,E). SARS stands for the severe acute respiratory syndrome. The origin of SARS-CoV is thought to be a zoonotic disease-the virus being passed from bats to an intermediate animal host before coming into contact with humans. Symptoms of SARS include:

However, respiratory symptoms can worsen, leading to shortness of breath especially if there is already an underlying health condition. Serious cases rapidly progress, leading to pneumonia or respiratory distress. SARS is also transmitted by respiratory droplets produced when a person infected with the virus coughs or sneezes or there is contact with surfaces containing the virus. EBO2 which is a type of ozone therapy is a natural, non-invasive treatment for SARS, and it can be used to help you recover from the illness. Ozone therapy has been used to treat various diseases since the 1800s and so is not a new form of treatment. EBO2 therapy uses oxygen and ozone (O3) to help fight infections and boost the immune system. The ozone treatment kills germs that cause infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, viruses like colds and cases of flu, bacteria like tuberculosis and staphylococcus and even cancer cells if used in conjunction with radiation therapy.

The PubMed and Scopus databases and the Italian Scientific Society of Oxygen Ozone Therapy website identified articles that looked at the way ozone therapy could help treat SARS-CoV. 13 scientific articles were selected and reviewed, finding that “ozone exerts antiviral activity through the inhibition of viral replication and direct inactivation of viruses”. They also found that when ozone therapy is used it shows a decrease in inflammation and lung damage but also stimulates immunity thus exhibiting it to be justified as a positive form of treatment.

Long Covid

Most people affected by COVID-19 tend to feel better within a few days or weeks from the point of their first symptom and make a full recovery within 12 weeks. For some people, these symptoms can last much longer. This is called long COVID. Symptoms of long COVID include:

  • extreme tiredness (fatigue)
  • shortness of breath
  • loss of smell
  • muscle aches

However, there are many other symptoms experienced after being infected by COVID-19 including:

  • problems with your memory and concentration (“brain fog”)
  • chest pain or tightness
  • difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
  • heart palpitations
  • dizziness
  • pins and needles
  • joint pain
  • depression and anxiety
  • tinnitus, earaches
  • feeling sick, diarrhoea, stomach aches, loss of appetite
  • a high temperature, cough, headaches, sore throat, changes to sense of smell or taste
  • rashes

Ozone Exerts Antiviral Activity

Much like COVID-19 and SARS, EBO2 therapy can help! A clinical trial concluded that ozone therapy can recover “normal functionality” and is also able to alleviate pain, discomfort and fatigue in at least 67% of patients studied, who were affected by long-COVID (Tirelli et al).
