When any form of brain injury occurs, Cerebrolysin, a biological peptide consisting of neuropeptides and L-amino acids, is given either via infusion or subcutaneous injections.
Cerebrolysin also contains magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and selenium.
Cerebrolysin is low-weight in molecular structure, meaning the Cerebrolysin neuropeptides are no larger than 10,000 Daltons.
